2017 Single Vineyard Shiraz - 6 Bottle Case
6 x 750mL CASE
Our wines are handcrafted with minimal intervention as to truly reflect the purist expression of vineyard, vintage and variety. From the vineyard to the bottle, only the gentlest techniques are utilised; harvest by hand, whole berry de-stemming, open-vat temperature controlled fermentation, gentle basket-pressing and no finning or filtration prior to bottling.
The Barossa experienced a wetter than average 2016 winter and spring. This, combined with below average temperatures in December, January and February, resulted in a later harvest than we’ve seen in many years. Attention in the vineyard, careful hand picking and sorting of grapes made sure that quality was not compromised. 2017 was a classic vintage with well-balanced wines exhibiting purity and elegance.
Riper blueberry, blackberry and cracked pepper on the powerful nose. Appealingly sweet dark berry and floral pastille flavours meld with mocha notes that builds in the glass. Finishes on a smoky dark fruit note, harmonious tannins and length.
